The Aftershock called Ahcee Flores

Ranting at my own medium. All opinions are by the author and are just that-- opinions.

Perhaps the one stronger than the 6.7 magnitude quake that hit Visayas last Feb 6 is the increasing hate of all Cebuanos and Visayans from all over the world towards one Ahcee Flores.

Gladys Lumantes delos Santos in real life (to be confirmed), she trended in Twitter yesterday after Visayans formed a mutual dislike and abomination towards her because of her tweets.

In her tweets, she laughs about the OVER-REACTION of all Bisayas and demanded RESPECT as she was only exercising her freedom of speech and that her opinions, be it good or bad, should be respected. Seriously.

How can one give respect to someone who just ridiculed a whole region? How can you, amidst your incessant mockery towards our misfortune, demand understanding? How can someone ask for sympathy when she celebrates trending in social media while the ones she mock CANNOT SLEEP because of anxiety?

In less than 24 hours, Facebook pages have been created out of spite for Ahcee. Some pages are as follows “Kill Ahcee Flores Movement”, “Achee Flores – Persona non grata in Cebu” and of course, the iSTORYA.NET thread, "Ahcee Flores-- what can you say about her?" generated responses like wildfire. A page called “Support Ahcee Flores” was allegedly made by herself, with posts asking people to support her (pathetic).

People dying and people anxious of what’s going to happen next is-- will never be a laughing stock or a pedestal to ride on for fame—for normal people, that is. Ahcee is clearly not normal. I wonder how empty and void her life is to seek all that attention. Poor Ahcee soaks our anger like a sponge. I would rather be baduy, as what you call us Ahcee, than be an attention-thirsty, heartless lowlife.

Kudos, Ahcee for the social media trend (slow clap, slow clap). But if I were you, now that you trended wrath in Visayan hearts as well, I’d be scared and I would always watch my back.
