Hello everyone, I have made this section in my blog called Lito's battle. Here, I will put updates and anything about Lito's fight against AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia). We hope that you will keep posted here.
As of the moment, we have 5 O- for blood screen. You guys know who you are, daghang salamat. We are still sourcing out people with this blood type because we want to be prepared. Due to the rarity of the blood type, we might end up with nothing when there is lack of blood donation based on Lito's chemotherapy reactions.
Qualifications for the blood donors:
- no maintenance drugs
- no drug history
- no alcohol intake for the last 24hours
- piercings/tattoos should not be less than 1 year old
- for females: at least 50kg in weight and not menstruating while donating
Please continue referring, I am listing everything down. Sorry if it would take some time for me to answer because of the countless texts and calls. Rest assured that I have noted everything down. We are so overwhelmed with the response we got since we posted last night. Again, thank you so so every much.
Lito is on admission isolation. No visitors as of the moment because of possible risk of infection. So, it's him and me and a few of his family members every now and then.. Hopefully we can post some pics and videos so you will also be updated. :)
Lito is very positive and he keeps everything in a light mood. Chemotherapy will start this Friday.
Let's keep everything in social media at the moment because if announced in radios and TVs, I'd be receiving a lot of bogus texters asking me to be their textmate or telling me, "Pila man inyo offer ma'am?" I don't even know if they are O-neg! I believe in the power of social media. Somehow, the right donors will find his/her way to us...
